It is amazing to me that more people don’t use fucoidan since it has so many health benefits.
Clinical studies have shown that fucoidan can (see original post of this information here):
-
Improve immunity from increasing the production of immune cells or natural killer cells (NK cells)
-
Stop formation of cancer cells through a process called apoptosis (cell self-destructing)
-
Decrease cholesterol levels resulting from the way that enzymes breakdown fatty acids in the liver
-
Diabetes control by slowing down the release of glucose into the blood
-
Lower blood pressure
-
Improve liver function
-
Reduce stomach disorders, and remove Helicobacter piroli
-
Purify blood and strengthen blood vessel
-
Prevention of arteriosclerosis
-
Skin rejuvenation by increasing the production of integrin, a protein that helps in skin repair and firmness
-
Increase cell regeneration
-
Improve hair condition
-
Relieve allergies because of the increase of NK cells
-
Relieve arthritis by promoting the production of fibronetin which helps keep joints flexible and lubricated
-
Herpes remedy because of fucoidan’s antiviral properties
I mean, even if people don’t necessarily believe 100% that it is as beneficial as everyone says, why not give it a try? What could it hurt? The simple matter of it all is that it is incredibly good for you.
The company Exfuze has a drink called “Seven +” that is so good for you. Here are just some of the ingredients that will do a body good:
- Goji Berries
- Fucoidan
- Mangosteen
- Seabuckthorn
- Noni
- Blueberries
And most of these are considered “superfruits” and pack powerful amounts of antioxidants. Give it a go.
The presence of what has been deemed “junk food” in public schools across the nation has long been a heated debate…one that seems only to be gaining steam. Is it the job of school administrators to enforce healthy eating habits or is it the inherent responsibility of parents to encourage and condone such actions? It seems parents are consistently failing in that department (just look the child obesity rate in this country), so do schools have a choice?
Note: The Junk Food basket pictured above is an actual gift basket that can be purchased via Adorable Gift Baskets, for the junkie in all of us.
If you’re getting older and not at your ideal weight, there’s a great book that can help. This book was written by a healthy doctor who knows what he’s talking about. It’s called, What Does Your Doctor Look Like Naked?: Your Guide to Optimal Health. It provides everyone who’s aging with some much needed plans for life to help you lose weight and keep it off. It’s not a fad diet plan, but a straightforward guide from someone who knows how to stay in shape.
If you’re an athlete or bodybuilder looking to reach your ideal physique, I would recommend his other book, Better Than Steroids. It details how you can make food timing and other principles work for you to build your best body possible.
Remember that you must make lifestyle changes to lose weight and keep it off. This will ensure that you are healthy for the rest of your life.
